This duck race random name picker turns a list into an animated race. Every entry becomes a cartoon duck in a numbered lane. Add people, team labels or choices, then watch the first duck cross the finish line to reveal the selected entry. You can use it in your browser without signing up or installing an app.
Paste 2–100 names, one per line, or import a TXT or CSV file. You can also enter options such as board games or meeting topics. Give each person one entry for equal chances per person; repeated names count as extra entries. Names stay in your browser, and optional saved lists stay on this device.
Set a short timer for a quick pick, or a longer race when everyone wants to cheer. A 3–2–1 countdown comes before the race. For a 10-second duck race, move the duration slider to 10 seconds. The timer controls the reveal length; it does not change anyone’s chance of winning.
The duck race randomizer chooses the complete finishing order before the animation begins. The draw uses your browser’s cryptographic random source. Duck position, name length and sound settings do not affect the result. Read how the random name draw works for the full explanation.
In a classroom, use a short race to choose the next reader, a group spokesperson or a presentation order. At a party or meeting, let the ducks decide who starts a game or which topic comes first. Full-screen mode helps everyone follow the finish, and real duck calls can be muted whenever you need a quiet activity.
To select several people without repeating an entry, run a race and choose “Remove winner” before the next round. Repeat while at least two entries remain; select the final remaining entry directly if everyone needs a turn. For teaching ideas, see the classroom random name picker.
Prefer a different animal? Try the bunny race name picker or choose from 16 species in the animal race picker.

Yes. Choose a race duration from 5 to 120 seconds. A short countdown comes before the race. The timer changes how long the reveal takes, not the random finishing order.
Run one race, select “Remove winner”, then race again. This removes that specific winning entry. Repeat for each winner you need; duplicate entries for the same person must be removed separately.
Yes. No account is required. Your browser picks the finishing order with a cryptographic shuffle before the animation starts. Each entry has an equal chance; the duck’s lane and name do not influence the draw.
